Welcome back again Teacups (XP), Today I decided to
go ahead and create my first DIY, As my blog tends to focus there. So A while
back, everybody went on the trend of making these (or asked their friends to
make it for them), I was one of those people, but soon I learned how to make
it, and my god was it so easy! So Let me show you how to create it:
You're gonna need:
- Small Rubber Bands (any colour of your choice)
- Paper Clip (or C-Clip, whatever that is)
- Empty Pencil Box
- 2 Pencils
- Tape
1) Creating your own loom!
You may use your fingers, for faster process, but I
prefer making a loom, as it makes the process much easier, Take 2 Pencils,
stick them side to side on a Pencil Box with tape. It should look pretty
standard and easy. You can use pens and an eraser. Paintbrushes and Nail Polish. ANYTHING!
2) 3 Rubber Bands!
Place the first rubber band in a figure 8 style under the pencils, then add two more rubber bands regularly, to have the same stacked on top of each other (without having them to overlap)
3) Lift, and Add!
When you have three rubber bands under your loom,
including the figure 8 one, Take the one on the bottom, pull it on top of the other bands (if that makes sense) , and
add another band, take the one at the bottom and pull it to the top, add
another pull it to the top, make sure they are three only.
4) Done?
When you get to the desired length, pull the rubber
bands altogether and insert them inside the Paper clip (the loose ends inside the thingy) make sure not to
disfigure the bands or else it'll be hard to assemble them back together!
5) Rock it off!
Wear it wherever, and whenever!
Tips:
If the rubber band feels a bit too tight, don't hesitate to start from the beginning, don't force yourself to wear such an uncomfortable accessory.
You can vary the colours by alternatively exchanging them rather than stick to one colour.
I prefer making two of them, a white one and a black one, and wearing one on each hand, as well as a watch on my left hand. If the watch is dark, i wear the white bracelet on the left. Vice Versa.
