How to Save up Money

Ever felt like purchasing something you truly wanted! But you're out of cash? Yeah well, we've all been there. However, once when I was in 8th grade, I truly wanted my first pair of Louis Vuitton shoes for school, my parents immediately refused as it was too expensive for a 13 year old, (that's a thing? lol). So I went ahead and saved up, week after week with very minimal allowance, and after 5 months? I got it!

True, it took 5 months to achieve what I wanted, but that's not the point! I did the same thing to buy a scarf, which was a bit pricy, however managed to deal with it, and with that I was truly happy with the way I handled myself. So I want to share with you some tips that really helped me!

1) Know your length

Whether your saving up for a pair of shoes or a new car! It's all the same strategy, except different lengths, Know how much amount to save up in how much amount of time, if it's all reasonable and good for you then arrange yourself a schedule to make sure you don't spend more than you need to.

2) Divide The Funds:

Note down the amount of money you're receiving, whether it's your allowance from your parents, or salary from your job, It's always vital to know

It's no use to harm yourself from lack of deliciousness and goodies you can get, but it's not good to go overboard with spending, however it is pretty good to divide the money you are receiving into a considerate amount,

e.g How much will you need to eat out a week?

3) Think about what you're spending on

Other than wants, think about the needs, if you live alone then this'll be a bigger challenge, but if you're a teenager like me! under your parents roof, you won't have to worry about this too much.

Take an average on your bills, your groceries, actually I worry about the groceries because I constantly go buy the Almond milk and Veggies! as none of my other family members are Vegan. You have to keep those in mind, when taking an average, try to use other resources of energy to save up money.

4) Avoid going out as much

Gather friends over, watch a movie together, play endless gather games together! There are lots of things to keep you and your friends entertained. If it comes down to it, what's so fun about watching your best friend gobble up that crumble cobbler!

If you're paying for internet, like those routers you people love so much carrying around. Make use of it, play games online, like Google Feud, Draw My Thing or watching Movies & TV Shows together, that way you save up money if you visit them (Devious)

5) Take time to improve your life

This really worked out for me, when I started saving up, I had more time to focus on my studies, developing myself as a student and teenager, becoming more committed, organizing my life, You should do the same.

Take time to appreciate the things around you, make use of them, for example you have lots of papers that are just sitting there, rather than waste them by scribbling stuff then throwing them away, why not teach yourself a talent? like drawing or origami & display them. These small things are what help you stay distracted from money spending.

So guys, there are endless techniques to use when saving up money, but the key is distraction and utilisation. Don't pay for things you'll only use once or twice (unless that's the purpose). Thank you for tuning in today, I hope you guys found this a wee bit helpful! I'll see you around soon. Bye!
